Warm light oak and crisp white shaker cabinetry make this Falls Church kitchen feel bright and relaxed. A wall of tall oak cabinetry and an oak island bring in natural texture, while white perimeter cabinets keep the room open.
What we built
- White shaker perimeter cabinets with brushed brass hardware
- A light oak island with seating for five
- Tall oak pantry cabinetry and glass-front uppers with oak interiors
- Light countertops with a matching full-height backsplash
- A black-framed picture window over the sink
- Matte white dome pendants and light wood floors
Why it works
Two finishes, used with restraint. The oak shows up on the island, the pantry wall and inside the glass cabinets, so the warmth feels intentional. Everything else stays white and light, which lets the big window and the natural light do the work.
